Community Happy Hour Today, and Cleanup Tomorrow

1. 'Do Drop In' with your neighbors, family, and friends, for a community happy hour TODAY BETWEEN 3-8 PM at Edgewood's own DEW DROP INN (2801 8th Street NE, in the former Chocolate City Brewing space).
Today's gathering benefits year-round volunteer activities and initiatives that make Edgewood an even greater place for everyone to live, learn, and play.
This local business (which serves sandwiches and snacks too) will graciously donate $1 per drink sold, and there will also be a donation jar.
Hope to see you there, to kick off the weekend and toast to another active year! President marley.rave@gmail.com can answer any questions.

2. The next Edgewood Cleanup is TOMORROW, Sat. Feb. 6, between 10:30-11:30 AM. Meet by Edgewood Rec. Center @ 300 Evarts St. NE. Free refreshments for volunteers.
As always, the grassroots nonprofit group Friends of Edgewood sponsors this volunteer event, starts here the first Saturday of every month, over seven years running. Gloves, bags, and snacks provided. Everyone is invited to come meet friendly neighbors, clear litter from our community, and stay informed on local news.
It only takes an hour, but if you can't make it, tidying outside your house helps everyone too!
Questions? Just ask cleanup founder and local government rep sally.hobaugh@gmail.com. Thanks -- and we hope to see you today and tomorrow!
